About Me
Nathan Anderson specializes in the sales and leasing of industrial properties and land around Kansas City. He has sold and leased industrial facilities throughout the five-county metro area, and has been recognized as one of the top industrial brokers in the metro area.
Nathan has been awarded the SIOR designation (Society of Industrial & Office Realtors), and is active in the local SIOR Chapter. Nationally, he has served as Chairman of the Benefits & Services committee for SIOR and was recently named to the Editorial Advisory Board.
Additionally, Nathan has earned his CCIM designation (Certified Commercial Investment Member). Nathan served as the President of the Kansas City CCIM Chapter in 2003, helping grow the Chapter to one of the largest in the country.
Since 1995, he has participated in over $85 million in commercial real estate transactions around Kansas City. Some transaction highlights over the years include:
- Representing Central Solutions, Inc. in the acquisition of a 168,000 sq.ft. manufacturing facility in Kansas City, Kansas;
- Representing Metals USA in the disposition of an 85,176 sq.ft. steel service center in Kansas City, Missouri;
- Representing International Paper Co. in the disposition of a 93,844 sq.ft. paper manufacturing facility in Kansas City, Kansas;
- Representing Lister-Petter Americas in the disposition of a 75,310 sq.ft. manufacturing facility in Olathe, Kansas;
In 2005, Nathan was awarded the title of ‘Commercial Salesperson of the Year’ by the Kansas City Regional Association of Realtors, which is awarded based on total sales volume, service to the community, and maintaining a high level of professionalism and ethics in the industry. Additionally, Nathan is a past recipient of the ’30-Under-30’ award by Realtor Magazine, along with the ‘Power Broker’ award by the CoStar Group, recognizing the most active brokers in the Kansas City area.
Nathan is currently involved with several community and economic development organizations including the Urban Core Development Group, the Fairfax Industrial Association, and the Northeast Industrial Association. Nathan volunteers his time at City Union Mission (www.cumission.org), an inner-city ministry to the poor and homeless in Downtown Kansas City, where he has served on their Board of Directors since 2003.
He graduated from the University of Kansas as a Phi Beta Kappa, having earned his bachelor’s of science degree in Sales and Marketing from the School of Journalism. Nathan is a lifetime resident of Kansas City and lives in the old Leawood area with his wife and family. |
